The purpose of the Senior Section is to promote golfing competitions, team matches against other clubs and social activities for all playing members of Minchinhampton Golf Club who are aged 60 and over.
We meet every Monday morning (except Bank Holidays and when there is a Senior Competition) for a “roll-up”. A draw for partners for four-ball-better-ball matches is made at 8.25 am in the summer and
8.35 am in the winter. A five tee start is used on the Avening Course.
We have monthly competitions with two medal competitions, nine stableford competitions and one Texas scramble. We also organise summer and winter knock-out competitions for singles and pairs.
We play matches at home and away against other club Senior Sections and encourage wide participation in the selection of teams.
