COURSES OVERVIEW
All the Minchinhampton courses lie on Cotswold Brash (Limestone) and as such are very free draining, offering a good test all year round. The Cherington course has hosted Open Championship Regional Qualifying and both the Avening and Cherington courses have hosted National Championships and regularly host matches and championships for the GGU and the GLCGA

THE CHERINGTON COURSE
If the quality of the test it presents can be measured by its use as a Championship venue then the Cherington passes with flying colours. Although the newer of the two courses, it hosted The Open Championship Regional qualifying from 2002 to 2007 and the English Mid-Amateur in 2007. Its links style is complemented by large and testing greens.

THE AVENING COURSE
The older of the two "New" courses, this parkland course was designed by Fred Hawtree and features several lakes, a rich variety of specimen trees, tricky bunkers and challenging greens. Played over the rolling Cotswold landscape it was host for the English County Seniors Finals for the English Golf Union

THE OLD COURSE
A truly original test of golf, laid out over the rolling grassland of Minchinhampton Common. Where since 1889 the land meets the sky and the golfer finds heaven.
